Due to the cold weather over the last week many of the eggs froze and cracked overnight so they get tossed out.
So production is a little low at the stand. Sorry 🥶

So now what??
The chicks are laying over a dozen eggs a day!
The fridges are all full and we are out of egg cartons so let’s build a neighborhood stand and share with the community.
I present to you- the birth of Hen & Haven Eggstand as you know it.
With the help of our neighbor Mr. Mike we constructed a stand and were able to hit our grand opening date deadline just before thanksgiving.

Thanks to everyone who donates cartons and supports our hobby project!

Hamilton Co Fair weekend!
This is where Al presents his flock against everyone else in the county who participated in the 4H chick chain project.
Part of this project requires him to work the fair and present as an Ag Expert and tell people all about his project.
He brought home 3 ribbons this weekend
- Best in show
- First place for poultry
- Second place for record keeping journal

TODAY IS THE DAY!!!!
We Brought home 14!!!! 2 day old baby chicks this day! Made sure big brother ‘pickles the cat’ approved and got them set up in their new home.
Also this night a massive storm knocked out the power for several hours so we ran the generator to keep them alive!!

Took home 2nd place in the County 5th grade 4H 🍀 Demonstration Presentstion
