Look what's available today at Gardens of Spring Meadows, located in Chelsea. Watermelons and cantaloupes fresh from the vine. Watermelons are red and seeded. Daisy Mae, our (not) hardworking golden retriever, said she did most of the picking. And grinning. Direct message us if you are interested before they are all gone.

My thoughts from the tractor seat.

Determination.

Where has the American determination gone? As a first generation farmer it was my determination that has kept me farming for these last 30 some odd years. It was sweat, blood, tears and determination. It hasn’t been without failures and setbacks. But determination keeps you going in spite of all those setbacks.

Seems like there is no drive to succeed anymore... but rather to live off the success of others.
This whole equality thing really chaps my backside. Taking from the haves and giving to the have nots is crazy.

There are opportunities everywhere... but determination/drive when coupled with opportunity is what makes one successful.

Take this picture for example. This prairie dog was determined that this is where he wanted to be... in-spite of how hard it was to get there he didn’t give up!

So next time when you feel like giving up remember this little guy! Be determined not to give up no matter how hard it is.
