And by water user, I mean - fishermen, rafters, farmers, ranchers, Bend surf park users, Deschutes River enthusiast, environmentalist, and everyone else in the Deschutes Basin who eats, drinks, and recreates every day in our beautiful slice of paradise known as Central Oregon. Saying thank you isn’t really enough to Andrea Scott Brown, the Rodby Family, and Madras McDonalds and staff, for hosting a field trip for students to learn where their food comes from, what it takes to make it, and just how important it is that we have farmers! I am incredibly thankful for the people like these folks, who understand how critical it is to connect the dots for these kids as to how food gets from the farm to the table. I’m certain that these visitors today will remember this learning experience for a lifetime!

Did you know…. In the US, McDonald’s restaurants sell approximately 75 hamburgers every second. McDonald’s also needs around 67,000 cows per day to have enough ground beef for their daily hamburger sales. They are the largest purchaser of Beef in the United States, buying over 1 billion pounds annually😳 thank you McDonald’s restaurants for giving me the opportunity to be able to love and care for cattle. 🤎🖤🤎
