It’ll start off cool and crisp this morning, then warm right up through market hours — perfect “grab a coffee, wander the park, eat something delicious and spend a little money” weather. 😂

COME OUT AND PLAY WITH US!

Grumpy’s is bringing fresh bread, Frybread, pears, pickles, jams, salsas, sauces, condiments and all that glorious goodness in jars.

So Amelia flies into Wichita to carry on with us at a friend’s house…
And she flies home two days later cuz that’s how we roll.

And sweet Seth from Silver Lake Snacks sends Mamma T a little care package because he KNOWS her weakness:

OATMEAL. RAISIN. COOKIES. 🍪❤️
(Man that’s TRUE friendship!)

Fast forward 600 miles…

We’re now in Sheridan, Wyoming.

The tent is up.
The bed is made.
Grumpy is settling in.

And somehow…

SETH IS IN OUR TENT. 😳

Okay. WAIT.

Before anybody starts a rumor— (and gets that poor family man into trouble!! C’mon… now…)

NOT SETH.

😂😂😂

IT IS THE DAMNED COOKIES.

Seth is NOT in Wyoming.
Seth is NOT in our tent.
Seth is most definitely home and it’s his fam.

Not anywhere near our camp.

But his cookies are. 😏🍪
Momma is hovering like Gollam over her bag of oatmeal raisins… whispering…
”precious…..!”

And Grumpy has officially issued a warning:

“I don’t care how much you love Seth’s cookies… they better not leave crumbs in our bed.”

And Miss Tress laughs… wickedly.

Sir….!

I have held those cookies 600 miles across state lines.

Do you really think there are going to be enough left to MAKE crumbs?! 😂

Mamma T has priorities.

And apparently oatmeal raisin cookies now qualify as essential road-trip equipment. (Officially— thank you Seth and family for all you do to make Silver Lake Snacks and the sacrifices you make as a family to provide these amazingly delicious goodies for the community!!)

We’ve got TWO chances to catch Grumpy’s Farm Stand this week — and we’re bringing the GOOD STUFF! 🙌

📍 FIRST THURSDAY — DOWNTOWN MADRAS
Thursday | 5–8 PM

Come hungry! We’ll be serving up HOT FOOD including our burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches and fresh Frybread — plus we’ll have a whole bunch of that Grumpy’s goodness in jars you know and love! Pickles, jams, salsas, sauces and more. ❤️

🌳 THEN… IT’S THE LAST SATURDAY MARKET OF THE SEASON!
Saturday in the Park | 10 AM–2 PM

Yep. THE LAST ONE! 😭 So if you’ve been saying, “I need to get down there before market season ends…” — this is your sign!

We’ll have the hot food going again AND tables loaded with our farm-stand favorites. Stock up those pantries, grab some lunch, and come hang out with us one more Saturday. ❤️

IT’S SATURDAY MARKET DAY! 🐂

Grumpy’s isn’t open today or tomorrow — it’s our scheduled weekend off for the summer. ❤️

No Airshow.
No market days for us.
No slinging food, chicken, pickles, jam, or questionable commentary from behind the booth. 😂

And we miss you terribly!

BUT — that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get out there and support the folks who show up every single Saturday at the Madras Saturday Market!

These are your reliable, local, hardworking creators and makers — the people who are there week after week bringing some seriously wonderful things to our little community.

🎄 AND Y’ALL… CHRISTMAS IS ONLY 118 DAYS AWAY!

That means it is officially reasonable to start squirreling away locally made gifts. Buy one for Christmas. Buy one for yourself. Hide both and forget where you put them until December. We don’t judge. 😂

Oh friends…..

When we see something we say something.

As you may remember there was a person who came, took about $100 of product and left without paying. Right in front of us, as we created additional fire breaks around our property.
Although I had hoped, and still mostly believe, it was by accident, it was still disappointing.

Today, a LOVELY lady came by and the grandkids helped her.

She took $32 of product, and paid them $10 “tip”.

We want you to know those kids got all the money from that interaction. They’re wonderful, helpful farm kids with great hearts. And they’re leaving on a big road trip. They were so excited by your interaction and they just loved you.

From my grandma heart to you…

Thank you.
I know $10 isn’t that much to some, but in today’s world, it’s a big deal to so many.

The kids now have $21 each from your special heart today.

It means a lot that you helped us reinforce that they “can do anything”.

We are trying to combat the middle school dredge that makes children feel “less than”, and help them build/maintain confidence.
Do the right thing; be positive, proactive citizens of the community.

What a truly beautiful world we live in.
