Calling all Chester locals

For our friends interested in the Number 12 School near Chester in Crawford County, please consider reaching out with any information you may have on its restoration. There is currently an effort to revive the work done to save this historic building, but much information on its status as a Historic property is lost. Please share what you might have and we'll share it with the new group forming to save this wonderful piece of history.

Every Saturday from 8 AM – 11 AM at the Chester Farmers Market, you can submit your written or oral wisdom to be included in our Chester Book of Wisdom 📖

We’ve also got a community map where you can mark places that once were—old businesses, forgotten spots, stories passed down… or mountain lore you’ve heard over the years.

We’re looking for folks with knowledge of the Chester area and surrounding mountains—
anything from homesteading, growing your own food, old granny wisdom, local history, or mountain know-how.

We’d be grateful to have you be a part of it 🤍
