Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Patterson Fruit Farm!

It may be a little chilly today, but it’s going to be a beautiful day to get out and enjoy the farm. Bring mom for coffee and an apple or blueberry fritter, let the kids play on the playground, take a walk in the park, and enjoy a relaxing day together.

Our hanging baskets are absolutely beautiful right now too, perfect for adding a little color to your porch or patio.

We could not be more proud to have our Mom (Nancy) selected for induction into the Ag Hall of Fame. This Mothers Day weekend we celebrate all the Moms, Grandmas, Great Grandmas and people who are Moms in our lives!

Burton Floral & Garden has been growing our beautiful hanging baskets for many years, and we’re grateful for their partnership and friendship. Shop local, it truly makes a difference. This is the most beautiful bunch of flowers just in time for Mother’s Day!

Spring on the farm always feels like a season of renewal. There’s planting to do, baby animals arriving, and plenty of projects as we get ready for a busy summer and fall season at Patterson Fruit Farm.

Our Party Room is getting a little facelift with new siding, and with projects like this often comes an unexpected gift, little pieces of history. Back in the 90s, vinyl siding was added to help preserve the building, but in the process some of the original character was covered up. As the old siding came off, this beautiful hand-painted sign was revealed once again.

One of my favorite parts of uncovering things like this is the stories that come with it. The farm has been passed from the first generation to the seventh generation, and every old building, sign, and hidden detail seems to unlock memories and family stories that might not otherwise be told.

It’s a reminder that while farms evolve and modernize, the history underneath is still there, waiting to be rediscovered. And sometimes, it’s pretty beautiful.

Good Sunday morning! ☀️ It’s shaping up to be a gorgeous day here in Northeast Ohio. While temperatures are still on the cooler side, it’s the perfect spring day to get outside, let the kids play on the playground, take a walk through the park, and stop by the market while you’re here.

These early morning photos capture our irrigation running overnight to protect the strawberry blossoms and plants from the cold temperatures last night. One of those behind-the-scenes farm moments that reminds us spring farming keeps us on our toes.

The market is open daily from 9 AM–5 PM and stocked with plenty of favorites: apples, fresh sourdough bread, milk, local meats, asparagus, and more. Stop by and shop local today!

We’re horsing around at the market and feeling all the Kentucky Derby vibes 🐎🌹

The cutest Derby-inspired donuts are in the case and they’re almost too pretty to eat… almost. Stop in, grab a sweet treat, and celebrate race day the best way we know how, with donuts in hand.

No fancy hats required… but we fully support them.

The first of our spring veggies have arrived and we’re pretty excited about it… asparagus for days!

There’s just something about seeing those first fresh green bundles that feels like a true sign the seasons are changing. Pair it with farm fresh eggs, toss it on the grill, roast it for dinner, or snack on it straight from the pan (we won’t judge).

Sunday at Patterson Fruit Farm is shaping up to be a beauty.
