Red Haven Peaches Are Here!
If you’ve been waiting for that first bite of a juicy, sweet Red Haven peach, the wait is over! Red Havens have earned their reputation for a reason. They’re known for their incredible flavor, beautiful color, and perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. For many families, they mark the true beginning of peach season.
One question we’ve been asked over and over is, “Will you have Pick Your Own peaches this year?” Unfortunately, the answer is no.
Like many fruit growers across our region, the weather dealt our peach crop a difficult hand this year. Late frosts and challenging growing conditions took a heavy toll, and sadly, we won’t have the famous Patterson peaches this season.
That’s the reality of farming. Every year brings new challenges, and peaches are one of the most weather-sensitive crops we grow. A few degrees on a spring night can make the difference between a full crop and almost no crop at all. It’s heartbreaking, but it’s also part of the life we chose.
The good news? We’re thankful to have fellow local growers who were more fortunate this year. We believe that supporting local agriculture is bigger than any one farm, so we’ve brought in beautiful, delicious Red Haven peaches from neighboring growers to share with all of you.
While peaches may have let us down this season, our apples sure didn’t!
We are incredibly excited to share that we’re expecting a beautiful, abundant apple crop this fall. The orchards are looking fantastic, and later this month we can’t wait to welcome you back for Pick Your Own Patterson apples. There is nothing quite like walking through the orchard, filling a bag with crisp, fresh-picked apples, and making memories with family and friends.
