TODAY IS THE DAY!!! The weather is calling for cloudy skies and temps in the upper 70s for the Farmers Market this afternoon. The chance of rain should be all cleared in time for our 3 PM opening.

Our September special event today is our Healthy Aging Celebration!

At Coffee Creek Farmers Market, we believe healthy aging is about more than adding years to life—it’s about adding life to our years. Our Healthy Aging Celebration brings our community together to learn, connect, and celebrate the many ways we can support our health and well-being at every age. From fresh, nourishing foods and movement to meaningful connections and lifelong learning, we’re highlighting simple, positive ways to help our community age with vitality, independence, and joy.

A Few Vendor Notes: We have two sourdough bakers to accompany our Healthy Aging Celebration…Night of the Living Bread and The Red Door Bakery! Line In The Sand Farm LLC is out this week recovering from last week’s intense heat. The Rolling Stonebaker is back with your favorite wood-fired pizzas! How Sweet It Is - Charlesworth sweet corn wrapped up their season early due to an unexpected final harvest. The end of sweet corn is a true sign that Fall is around the corner!

Stop by the Market Info Booth for FREE apples courtesy of Klug Family Produce!!! This is the third year (I think) of Aaron Klug working with us to keep our community eating fresh and local as we head into Fall!

11,000!

When we opened the 2026 market season, we had just reached 10,000 followers. Today, five months later, we’re celebrating 11,000!

Thank you for following along, sharing our posts, supporting our vendors, bringing your families, telling your friends, and continuing to show up for this market week after week. Coffee Creek Farmers Market would not be what it is without the community that surrounds it.

And since we probably can’t fit all 11,000 of you into one giant group hug, we’d love to thank as many of you as possible in person, tomorrow, so stop by the market booth and say "hi!".

Don't forget, we're hosting our Healthy Aging Celebration tomorrow from 3-7 so come shop, visit your favorite vendors, enjoy the activities, and celebrate with us.

Today we celebrate the people whose work keeps our communities going.

At the farmers market, we're lucky enough to see that work up close every Wednesday. It's in the early mornings spent harvesting produce, the hours in kitchens and bakeries, the animals cared for every day, the products made by hand, and all the loading, hauling, setting up and cleaning up that happens before and after you ever see a vendor behind their table.

So this Labor Day, we're especially grateful for the farmers, growers, bakers, makers, food producers and small business owners who bring the Coffee Creek Farmers Market to life each week.

And after a well-earned holiday, we hope you'll join us Wednesday for a market that's all about taking care of ourselves, too. Our Healthy Aging Celebration will include kids crafts, giveaways, free apples, wellness vendors, our Healthy Habit Board, and a free tote bag raffle every hour.

Yesterday definitely brought the heat, but that didn’t stop people from coming out, filling their bags, grabbing something good to eat, catching up with friends and making the most of a very warm September market day.

Thank you to everyone who spent part of your Wednesday with us. We loved seeing so many people still shopping, visiting and enjoying the market despite the temperatures.

We also hope you grabbed one of the free apples from Klug Family Produce at the market booth. They’ll be back each week through the end of the season, so be sure to stop by for one when you visit.

And next Wednesday, we have even more planned!

September is Healthy Aging Month, and on September 9 we’re having our Healthy Aging Celebration with activities centered around something that matters whether you’re 9 or 90: the little habits that help us keep feeling our best.

There will be something for kids, raffles, giveaways, wellness vendors, and plenty of reasons to stop by the market! Full details are coming this weekend!

TODAY IS THE DAY!!! The weather is calling for sunny skies and temps around 90 degrees for the Farmers Market this afternoon. We’ve made it to September which means the seasons will soon be changing! Let this please be the last week of 90 degree temps, right?

One of our favorite things about a farmers market is getting to know new people and businesses; this season we’ve been especially lucky to welcome Mariola of MJ Polish Deli to Coffee Creek Farmers Market.

MJ Polish Deli has been part of the Northwest Indiana community for nearly three decades, with Mariola owning the Hammond deli for the past 18 years. Their focus has remained wonderfully simple: sharing the traditional Polish foods and flavors they love with the community around them.

And we’re very glad that community now includes Coffee Creek Farmers Market.

If you’ve stopped by their booth this summer, you already know their pierogies are out of this world. They have an incredible variety, from familiar favorites like potato and cheese to sauerkraut, mushroom, meat, sweet cheese and even fruit-filled varieties like blueberry and strawberry. There’s something really special about food that feels both comforting and connected to tradition, and that’s exactly what you get from Mariola.

They’ve also embraced being part of a producer-focused market in a way we love. Their stuffed peppers are made using ingredients sourced from fellow Coffee Creek Farmers Market vendors. Our farmers grow it, another vendor turns it into dinner, and shoppers get to enjoy the result. That kind of connection is a big part of what makes our farmers market special.

MJ Polish Deli has simply been a wonderful addition to our weekly vendor lineup. They’ve quickly become a familiar and popular stop, and we’re so happy they have chosen to spend their Wednesdays with us.

Come say hello and pick out a few pierogi flavors, some stuffed peppers, or one of their many other delicious Polish treats to take home this Wednesday from 3 to 7 PM.

We’re excited about September at Coffee Creek Farmers Market!

The weather is cooling but the amazing produce, meats, cheeses, coffee, pickles, popcorn, ready to eat foods, and artisans are just heating up!

Also, it’s National Healthy Aging Month so we’ll be celebrating with lots of activities, tips, and giveaways at our Healthy Aging Celebration on September 9th.

Starting this Wednesday through the end of the season, will be donating FREE apples each week. Stop by the market booth and grab a fresh, just-picked, local apple to enjoy while you shop!

Don’t let summer fading into fall fool you – there’s still plenty of incredible finds at the market so mark your calendars and join us every Wednesday from 3-7 at 2300 Village Point in Chesterton.
