Patiently waiting for this gals first GRANDKID 🤩

Running W Starflower is the only cow in our herd out of one of our past cow, HHH Primrose. Unfortunately, Primrose passed away after a battle with bloat as a young cow, and we were only able to have two daughters out of her. The other daughter of Primrose, Running W Rosa Blush, now lives in Centreville with Chesapeake Highland Farm 🐂

Of course, with that making Starflower the only cow of this genetic line, we were very happy that her first calf was a beautiful heifer, Running W Serenade 🎶

We competed with Serenade on our show string for two years, and now, she is looking closer to having her first calf every day!

It’s always a joy to see how we improve the cattle we breed through each generation, and while non of our cattle are perfect, we are proud of the herd we are building through well thought breeding decisions, and picking bulls based on where our cows need to improve 💪
