Spring!!! Maybe, sorta? Anyway, join us and our good friend Vincenzo of Impero Selections this Saturday, May 16, from 1100A-230P for a tasting of some delicious wines on what’s looking to be a gorgeous day in May.
Our lineup:
Saiko Yuzu & Mint Lemonade Sparkling Saké - You read correctly. This is a bright, refreshing sparkling saké lemonade from Saiko in Charlottsville, VA.
Wonderful for the pool, boat, or backyard.
Cotes d’Angeline Provence Rosé - This soft, drinkable rosé from Provence, France is redolent of summer berries with just the right touch of acidity on the finish. This could be your house rose for the summer.
Tenuta Le Lune Mariell Falanghina Pompeiano - Upon tasting, Jenn declared this our house white for the summer! I heartily agreed. You may spot a Falanghina here and there, but likely not a Pompeiano. This crisp, mineral beauty from the slopes of Pompei is fantastic!
Cantine Federiciane Gragnano - Inky, frothy and an absolute joy to drink. This medium bodied frizzante red from Italy’s Sorrento peninsula is perfect for summer grilling fare as well as PIZZA!!
Saturday looks to be warm and sunny so look for Vincenzo outside. If the weather changes he will be holding court inside beside our cheese case. We hope to see you in the shop!
We thank all of you for your continued support.
