Alexandra's Pierogi Alexandra Foods is a family-run business. We make all of our delicious products right here on Central Avenue in Chicago, Illinois.

We specialize in the production of 18 flavors of Pierogi, and also make Uszka, Kopytka, Pyzy, and 6 flavors of Blintzes.

We are making cabbage pierogi today and tomorrow! Fresh, whole heads of cabbage are cored, cut, shredded and cooked. We then fry the cabbage while adding onions and seasonings before stuffing the delicious mixture into a pierogi. The taste is amazing!

Wonderful 3' loaves of bread just delivered from D'Amato's Bakery on Grand Avenue - they smell great! We use these to make one of our most unique pierogi - Maultaschen - a German recipe that blends spinach, pork, onions, breadcrumbs, and spices for a hearty and flavorful treat!

It's a PYZY day today! That means LOTS of delicious potatoes. We have peeled, cut and cooked up over 4,000 pounds and will be using them to make our Cheese and Meat Pyzy. Here's a picture of one steaming batch of potatoes that just finished cooking.

We are cooking up 600 boxes of fresh mushrooms today - that's over 6,000 pounds! The smell of them cooking is amazing!
