As this holiday season comes to a close, we want to take a moment to say thank you to each and every one of our customers for trusting Joseph’s Finest Meats with your holiday dinners. Being a part of your family traditions is something we never take lightly, and we’re incredibly grateful for the continued love and support you show us year after year since 1977.

This season was especially meaningful as we were blessed to celebrate the holidays and our founder (and dad’s) 93rd birthday; surrounded by family, tradition, and the community he worked so hard to build. His values of quality, integrity, and taking care of customers like family continue to guide everything we do.

On behalf of the entire Camarda family and all of the hardworking butchers at Joseph’s Finest Meats, thank you for allowing us to be a part of your holiday table. We hope your holidays were filled with great food, great memories, and even better company.

At Joseph’s Finest Meats, our customers aren’t just customers, you’re truly family. Every turkey, every roast, every holiday order comes with the responsibility that Joe Camarda himself instilled in us for almost 50 years: take care of people the way you’d take care of your own.

This Thanksgiving is especially meaningful as we celebrate with our founder, our dad, and the heart of Joseph’s Finest Meats, Joseph, at the incredible age of almost 93. Having him at the head of the holiday table is truly a blessing.

Are you curious about the history of Chicago Italian Beef Sandwiches? Here is it:

Created in the early 1900s by Italian immigrants on Chicago's South Side, Italian beef started as a Depression-era solution. Cook Pasquale Scala slow-roasted cheap cuts of beef with spices, sliced them paper-thin, and served them on Italian bread soaked in flavorful juices—stretching a little meat to feed many people.

The sandwich gained fame through family stands like Al's #1 Italian Beef (opened 1938) and became a Chicago staple with its signature "dip" (wet, dipped, or dry), sweet peppers, and spicy giardiniera.

Why Italian Beef in Western Mass, you ask? Vincent's origins are in Chicago and his great grandfather, Luigi, a Sicilian immigrant, was a part of SS Lauretana Fratelanza, which puts on an annual Festa and Italian Beef has been a part of that Feast for over 125 years. Vincent has participated since birth and it's near and dear to his heart. So is Italian Beef. Our inspiration comes from , a fixture of the Feast.

Festival season = officially CRUSHED! From the inaugural Sicilian Summer Block Party to the Taste of Park Ridge and closing out with the 125th Annual Feast of Maria SS. Lauretana of Altavilla Milicia in Chicago (the Italian fest with the flying angels)… we served up our famous homemade Italian sausages, Italian beef, ribbon fries, and a whole lotta fun! 🇮🇹🔥

A massive THANK YOU to our incredible team! You grilled, you hustled, and you made every festival stop a total hit. SPECIAL KUDOS to the grill team and those sweet dance moves!

And to our amazing customers: you showed up, you cheered, you ate like champions, and you proved once again that when it’s Joseph’s Finest, absolutely NOBODY beats our meat!
