🌎Earth Day may have come and gone, but the message lives on all year long.
These incredible posters were created by the talented students of Chincoteague Island Combined School for our Earth Day 2026 celebration. While high winds and challenging weather prevented us from displaying them during the festival, the creativity, imagination, and environmental awareness behind these works deserve to be seen and appreciated.
From protecting wildlife and conserving water to recycling, reducing pollution, and celebrating our beautiful planet, these young artists captured the spirit of Earth Day perfectly.
Please help us recognize these students by taking a moment to enjoy their artwork and leave them some words of encouragement. Their ideas remind us that caring for our environment isn’t just something we do on Earth Day—it’s something we can practice every day of the year.

Join us for the first annual Summer Vibe Festival on Saturday, July 11 from 11AM–5PM at Robert Reed Waterfront Park—a vibrant, feel-good celebration of community, creativity, and coastal energy.

This all-day event brings together the heart of the town with live music, local art vendors, and immersive experiences designed to inspire connection and good vibes all around. Whether you’re here to shop, dance, discover new talent, or just soak in the summer atmosphere, there’s something for everyone.

More than just a festival, Summer Vibe is about bringing the community together with purpose—raising awareness and support for the Island Theatre and the Chincoteague Island Arts Organization (CIAO), helping fuel future events, local art, and cultural growth on the island.
