filled my feeders this morning with fresh homemade nectar (just 3 cups water + 1 cup sugar, no coloring), and look what happened… so many beautiful hummingbirds came to visit!

The flowers are starting to bloom, the air feels different, and you can really feel that spring is on the way. Moments like this make my heart so happy. 💕

If you want to help hummingbirds, it’s so easy — just clean feeders and fresh nectar. They will find you!

Nature is such a gift. Today was full of tiny wings and big joy. ✨

Step back in time with us as we explore our antique bottle collection here at the Chinese Camp Store.

These beautiful glass bottles date back to the late 1800s and early 1900s, when everyday items — from medicine to hair tonics — were made with craftsmanship, care, and history in every detail. Some were used for early remedies, hair color treatments, and personal care products long before modern brands existed.

The sunlight shining through the glass reveals colors that have lasted for more than a century, reminding us how objects from the past can still tell stories today.

We love sharing these pieces of history with our visitors.

❄️⚠️ Winter Weather Alert for Tuolumne County ⚠️❄️

Sharing this important update for our friends, neighbors, and anyone traveling through our area.

The National Weather Service is expecting significant mountain and foothill snow through Thursday, along with very cold temperatures into Friday morning. There may also be power outages, so please be prepared and stay safe.

Tuolumne County is encouraging everyone to:
• Avoid travel if possible
• Dress warmly and limit time outside
• Prepare for possible power outages
• Check on neighbors, especially seniors or anyone who may need help

Warming Centers will be open starting at 2 PM today:
📍 Groveland Community Resilience Center
📍 Tuolumne CRC (Bay Ave)

If outages continue, these locations may also open as overnight shelters.
