onday thru Thursday, you can likely catch us there until 3:30pm)

Once schools start back in mid-August, we will have to adjust the Delhi days of operation to weekends only, as we lose many of our staff back to school. I'm Karen Burwinkel Kramer, and as many of you know, I've been proudly managing the Westbourne and Delhi Burwinkel Farms produce stands for many years. I'd like to extend a warm invitation to like and follow this page for location-specific updates. It's a great way to stay connected and receive direct information about our offerings, hours, and other information relating specifically to the Burwinkel Farms Westbourne and Delhi locations. How it all started:
I was a biology major at Northern Kentucky University, finishing my sophomore spring semester. In June 2006, I was set to attend a research program at the University of Maine. Just before the trip, my dad encouraged me to start a pop-up Burwinkel Farms market location upon returning home. At the time, I didn’t plan on a post-college farming career, so I wasn’t very interested. Little did I know, my dad's suggestion would become a life-changing opportunity and launch my journey as a young entrepreneur. That summer, my sister Kate and I began our first official Burwinkel Farms satellite market location. Initially, I sold sweet corn from the back of a pickup truck at the corner of Muddy Creek Road and Westbourne Drive. Quickly, I learned customers wanted more, so we added tomatoes, peaches, watermelon, and cantaloupe. Our display grew daily, thanks to Kate's talent for aesthetics and my enthusiasm for meeting customer demand. During those years, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences at NKU, while Kate earned her Master’s in Education Administration at Xavier University. How it’s going:
Fast forward nearly two decades, and my journey has been incredible. I've graduated college, started and ended a scientific career, gotten engaged, married, and had three beautiful daughters (ages 11, 8, and 5 in 2024). We've moved onto an orchard/farm, and I've faced many life events while serving you all. Many of you know about the hardships our youngest daughter endured in her first six months and always ask about our girls each summer. Some of you have even met my husband, Michael, and our children. Your support allows me to continue doing what I love. Farming and market sales are integral to my life and upbringing, and I’m thankful to share my passion with you.
