Peaceable Farm & Bookery

Peaceable Farm & Bookery As city folks, we spent decades raising our family & building businesses. Then God led us to Red River County. At 63, we built and moved to The Peaceable Farm.

At 76, we're milking goats, gathering eggs, raising guardian dogs, and writing books. Blessings Ron and I live to serve the Lord and do His will. He has so blessed us with The Peaceable, twenty acres in the woods about five miles south of Clarksville. We love our place and praise Him for it! Though we've had both before, this year, He gave us chickens and goats again so we are a Farm & Bookery now with our 60+ published novels! Bless the name of the Lord!

What if Congress could only spend what we have?

Grami personally thinks O’Pa is on to something here. He has a sensical approach to limiting spending based on income! How sound is that? If we ran our households the way those folks we elected are running our country, we’d all go down the tubes!

At our house, when the money runs low, the spending stops. We buckle down and wait for God’s next blessing!

What do you think? Would O’Pa’s ideas work if her were in charge?

Seeking a child to share her life, Rebecca unexpectedly finds true love!

It’s “Once Upon a Friday” time! I’m reading today from book seven in my Texas Romance Family Saga ten-novel series, AT LIBERTY TO LOVE.

Remember little eight-year-old Becky in VOW UNBROKEN (Book 1)? Well, she is heading to California against her father’s wishes, but she’s all grown up and making her own decisions now.

Writing this book, I actually giggled aloud, and I don’t usually think I’m that funny! 😊 I just adore the relationship between Rebecca and Marcus though!

Here’s the Amazon description for AT LIBERTY TO LOVE:
Obedience is better than sacrifice…and trumps romance, no matter how sweet.

Profound loneliness propels a childless widow west with the idea of choosing an orphan to share her life. On the way, a fellow traveler takes her heart by surprise. She never dreams, is unprepared...she definitely doesn’t need another man, but can’t get him out of her head…or heart. He’s so perfect—every bit the one she’d searched for as a young woman—except his mistrust of God has erected a wall she cannot breach.

Marcus Ford blames God and struggles for peace after losing his wife and baby. Not once has he considered another woman could be the answer, but the widow is like none other he’s ever met. He falls hard, but plans are taking him east.

Hope dashed sends two hearts into the pit. If only Marcus could forgive God or the widow ease up on her adamant resolve.

Will God’s mercy shine a beacon in the fog of despair and prove sufficient to heal their souls?

I hope you’ve enjoyed these first pages of AT LIBERTY TO LOVE and want to read the whole book! Just search amazon for At Liberty to Love Caryl McAdoo.

Blessings! See you next Friday!

My wife is responsible for me having a beard as long as I do, but she’s the one who has to look at me every day, so I let her choose.

Caryl used to sweetly stand up to my mother who always preferred me clean-shaven. When I was with the Dallas Fire Department, it was only a mustache, but after I moved into the private sector, I grew a beard. She’s always said she never saw a man who didn’t look better with some facial hair, and evidently the longer the better.
