When I am too busy to work on my inventory, my creativity becomes a compulsion. Story time: About two months ago I met a lovely farmer family who used core spun alpaca yarn to weave around a basket. The baskets were so cute! I was thinking I could weave a basket into an eco friendly hanging planter. Finally this week I used some plain dreadlocks I had on hand and wove them into a chicken wire basket. This sent me down the rabbit hole: using wool in gardening. There is a company that uses knitted wool sock like thingies as seed starters. In a few months the wool degrades and the roots spread, the plant grows as normal but has the nutrients from the biodegraded wool as a healthy start. So NOW I must try some cute little thin felted plant starters. I’ll definitely test them out before they are marketed, but it beats the plastic crumbling pots stacking up. Anyway, so here is the finished dreadlock basket that probably can’t be used as a planter. What can go in this? Or is it a statement piece?

This year I was sick of digging hay out of my seats and who know what else. For my birthday this year Nathan found a great mobile car detailer to give my 4Runner a glow up. Thanks He was extremely professional, showed up on time, and made sure we were satisfied with the work before he left.

Here’s a how-to for you! For those just starting their felting journey, some may think their project is ruined if there are weak spots or holes. Here is a method I use to fix a light felt area or hole. Enjoy!

I had a blast last weekend with I planted myself right between the alpacas and the bunnies while I taught onlookers how to make some alpaca wool felted mittens. I am in my element when I’m creating, especially while teaching. Thank you for these beautiful photos!
