With gratitude and love for our community, we share that Hunner’s Market will be closing its doors.

What began more than a decade ago as the Clayton Food Co-op was born from a shared vision — neighbors coming together to provide healthy, local, and sustainable food options for our community. Over the years, that vision evolved into Hunner’s Market, continuing the Co-op’s legacy of connection, good food, and community spirit.

From the beginning, this market has been more than a place to shop — it has been a gathering space, a place to swap recipes, share stories, and support local farmers and makers. We are so proud of what we built together and deeply thankful for everyone who has been a part of our journey: our loyal customers, dedicated staff, and the many volunteers and producers who helped make this little store a cornerstone of Clayton’s local food movement.

While this chapter is coming to a close, the spirit of community that created Hunner’s Market will live on — in every garden, farm stand, and kitchen table where people choose to buy local and support one another.

Thank you, Clayton, for your years of encouragement, kindness, and support. We are grateful beyond words.

🌟 Exciting News from Hunner’s Market! 🌟

We’re thrilled to share that Hunner’s Market in Clayton, NY is officially for sale! This is a bittersweet but exciting moment for us — and we’re filled with gratitude for the incredible support we’ve received from our amazing community over the years.

As we begin this transition, we’re happy to say there are already interested parties — but we are still accepting offers and are taking our time to find the perfect fit to carry on the heart and spirit of Hunner’s Market.

We believe this business has so much more to give, and we’re excited to see someone with passion and vision take it to the next level.
