Corned Beef & Vegetables – in 4 simple steps ☘️
🥩🍲1. Start the Corned Beef by placing it in corned a large pot and cover with water by about 1–2 inches. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a gentle simmer, cover, and cook for about 2½–3 hours until the meat starts to become tender.
🥔🥕2. Add the Potatoes & Carrots to the pot and continue simmering for about 15 minutes.
🥬🧅3. Add Onions & Cabbage
Add onions and cabbage wedges and simmer another 10–15 minutes, until the vegetables are tender and the corned beef is fully cooked.
🔪4. Either remove the corned beef and slice it across the grain, or leaving it in the pot carefully pull apart with a couple of forks. Let it rest about 10 minutes, & serve with the vegetables and a little bit of broth. A dallop of butter on the veggies is always a tasty addition 🧈☘️🥩🥔🥕🧅🥬
