Some people come into your life as teachers. Very few become something much deeper.
Jan is one of those rare people.
What I’m most grateful for isn’t just the knowledge he shares—although that alone is on a different level—it’s the honesty, the integrity, and the unwavering morals behind everything he does. There is no shortcut, no compromise, no ego. Just truth, feel, and respect for the horse.
Our friendship is built on that foundation. Real conversations. Real learning. Real trust.
Every time he’s here, he doesn’t just improve the horses—he changes how we think. He brings us back to what actually matters: correct basics, patience, and classical principles that stand the test of time. Not trends. Not noise. Just horsemanship done right.
The impact he’s had on me—and on all of us—is hard to put into words. And the horses feel it the most. They get clearer, lighter, more understood. They get a voice.
That’s the kind of mentorship that stays with you.
Grateful for the friendship.
Grateful for the honesty.
Grateful for the constant reminder of what this is really about.
can’t wait to have you back again my friend
