The Farmers Market of Carbondale is open till noon or so....come on out for coffee, great food, naturally grown veggies, music, jewelry, art, and more! see you there! we are bringing heirloom tomatoes, sweet peppers of all colors, lots of herbs, green onions, leeks, PEARS, and more. see you there!

pears are really nice this season. we have asian pears ( the round good tasting ones) that are ready and bringing to the The Farmers Market of Carbondale on Sat. Aug 22. thanks to all who supported local farmers and vendors last Saturday...the grilled food and all the local choices made it a great weekend. we are so fortunate to live in a region that has so much local food and crafts and music to offer. its Illinois best kept secret...this is the place to work and/or retire.

Summer lettuce is back. With the commercial lettuce bug problem industrial farms, we sold out of lettuce for the first time in history! Now it's back and nice as ever. We are at The Farmers Market of Carbondale Sat. Aug 8. We still have heirloom tomatoes, lots of sweet plus poblano peppers, garlic, herbs, especially lots of basil for those tomatoes, salsa, and pico. See you there!

hey where else can you go to a "pickle fest" but in Southern Illinois!

Happy Monday! We’re DILL-lighted to share details this week leading up to Glaciers End Pickle Fest 2: The Pickling this Saturday, August 8th from 11-5!

Our 1st Music Announcement is the 2 bands that will be playing during the day, which we are ecstatic to have joining us:

11am- 1pm: Danny Brown- well known as he has been a staple of the SoIL music scene for many years!

1:30-4:30: Snowbird Street Band- they rocked out last year & we’re thrilled to have them back this year!

All Seasons at The Farmers Market of Carbondale today! Look around, we are always in a different spot! Lots of the best of summer, the heirloom tomatoes are there as well as cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, lots of great new basil, sweet red italian peppers....great for grilling , stuffing , are more healthy whole naturally grown foods today. Come visit on this lovely day one of the regions most active and long standing markets! arts, flowers, crafts, meats, eggs, pies and bread, and COFFEE.
