Good evening Shackers. Tomorrow and Sunday will be
"Fill a flat for $20"
The wagon in front of the garage and the greenhouse are filled to the max. Mix and match anything from the wagon or the greenhouse to fit in a flat for $20.

Baked goods have also arrived:)
Cucumber salad is stocked up.

Lettuce, radish, kohlrabi, mint, cilantro and microgreens will be harvested early A.M. and will be in the cooler mid morning.

I have some very unique hanging baskets and plants on offer as well.

Short video walk around to come in the morning:) It's going to be a great weekend.

P.S. I have another wagon full of free vegetable plants that will be available as well including tomatoes, Swiss chard, Eggplant, Celery, cabbage and other assorted plants:)

What a great program they had at the Buffalo City Cemetery. My Grandpa Norman Schaffner is buried in that cemetery. We are very lucky to have such a well kept beautiful cemetery in our community. And to have such an active VFW post putting on these programs.

In honor of those that gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country I have a wagon of free flowers to place in urns. If you have a loved one or know of a grave urn that needs some flowers please stop in and grab some urn fillers. The wagon out front has geraniums and other flowers to make a great presentation. Thank you.

In high-school I played the trumpet and I remember going to several cemeteries around the area to play "Taps" on memorial day. It was quite nerve racking for a teenager. I could probably still squeak it out today but it would be choppy.
Thanks to Joan Draxler-Ruff it is something I will never forget:)
Anyone else remember playing "Taps" as a kid or going to a cemetery and hearing live "Taps" or "Echo Taps"?

Memorial Day Sale.
4 new items coming this weekend. Maple syrup, rhubarb jam, sauerkraut and cucumber salad. I've been preparing for Memorial day weekend since Mothers Day. I will be having a sale starting Friday and going through Monday. In honor of the fallen any active duty or immediate family of active duty or prior service can take an additional 10% off their entire purchase during the sale. For special occasions like this I do buy in "bulk" but only so I can pass those savings on to my customers and my community.
