Morning of speckled eggs!

We free range so these show up every once in awhile. They are not bad but a heads up about the diet needs for a time or coop events.

This time they are here probably because we introduced our watch dogs - the 4 guinea hens last week.

I have 7 dozen eggs today washed-pm for pickup times and place 🥚 🥚

⚠️Chickens can recognise up to 100 faces.

These faces included those of humans! Chickens even remember positive or negative experiences with the faces they recognise and pass that information on to members of their flocks. ⬇️

Anyone that knows Gabby (1 year old buff) knows we jokingly say Gabby was dropped as a chick but truth is she came to us a couple days old with her voice.

The only chick we have ever had that talks to you all the time hence "Gabby". 🐥

Spending most of her days on our front porch talking; asking us to come outside or following Lottie to pick her up and join into Lottie's Adventures of that day.
