Good news! After much consideration and upon the renewal deadline for NorthIdahoFarming.com, I have officially decided to keep this project going and have renewed it for another year. I truly believe in this website and its potential for our community.
Although this is a personal investment that I remain willing to pour my own time and money into, this is a project purely for the betterment of our local farming community in North Idaho and it WILL take a village (OUR village) to be successful. The community's support and help going forward is critical to the success of this project! Please see below all the ways you can help.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
PHYSICALLY:
• Spread the word! Word of mouth is vital. Tell everyone you know whenever you get the chance!
• USE THE SITE! Remember it when it comes time to search for new stock or sell your own. We need both buyers AND sellers to remain active on the site!
• Share the website or its listing links on social media often.
• New Category: Events!
Post local farmer's markets, farm swaps, classes, and other relevant events!
• Fliers
Email [email protected] and request the flier document to print and post in your immediate area. This document includes all the info needed, plus tear-off strips at the bottom with the website address and page link.
Posting fliers in your immediate area helps fill in gaps across all three northern counties. Think bulletin boards at post offices, farm stores, feed stores/farms, gas stations, grocery stores, etc. You'd be surprised how many places have bulletin boards, and even if not, how many will let you tape the flier on their counter or window if you simply ask! When asking, always explain that this is not for profit, just a completely free community project for our farmers and homesteaders. I have done all of these things successfully in my area! NOTE: Please do not post on utility poles, anywhere you don't have explicit permission, or anywhere it could turn into trash and become litter.
FINANCIALLY:
• Donations
If you have the means to help cover the costs of the website and maintenance, and would like to help financially, please use the PayPal link at: PayPal.me/NorthIdahoFarming . You do not need a PayPal account - you can pay securely as a guest via the link. You can also quickly find this link in the future on our website (soon) or in our Facebook bio. These are voluntary personal gifts to help offset my out-of-pocket hosting costs and are not tax-deductible.
• Become a Community Supporter
Businesses and organizations: Become a NorthIdahoFarming.com Community Supporter and be gratefully acknowledged on our website. Please email [email protected] for more information. Since we are purely a community project, donations are NOT considered charitable tax-deductible.
All contributions are voluntary and go solely toward keeping the site active and free for our local farming community.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP & SUPPORT!
