Cold Spring Farm A working farm where food and nature grow together. Farm Stand OPEN every day from dawn ‘til dark.

Established in 2007, Cold Spring Farm is a year-round, full diet, full heart farm located in East Haddam, Connecticut, a historically agricultural landscape. It comprises of 300 acres of pasture, hay fields, vegetable gardens, and forestland above Lake Hayward, and is home to hens, cows, pigs, sheep, goats, turkeys, ducks, peacocks, and an abundance of wildlife. The farm is nature-focused, produci

ng an abundant selection of mouth-watering heirloom produce and fruits, as well as gorgeous herbs and flowers, delicious eggs from our happy hens and ducks, dairy products, as well as beef, pork, chicken, and lamb. In addition, Cold Spring Farm operates a year-round CSA, or Community Supported Agriculture. Our Farm Stand is open daily from dawn ‘til dusk, all year-round, and is based on the honor-system. CSF’s products can also be found in Connecticut restaurants, at independent grocery stores, on University campuses, and at both the East Haddam and Colchester Farmers' Markets. We host events on the farm throughout the year, including Stargazing Nights and the Winter Harvest Farmers’ Market.

Good afternoon to our eaters! We have spent the entire day harvesting and cleaning and stocking our for the weekend ahead. Our shelves are chock full and ready to roll! For those of you who *hate* the electronic POS system, there is good news: we added the simple notebook back! For those of you who need to pay with credit cards, your fancy customer code is “000000.” Throughout the Farm Stand, you will now see a red heart ♥️ on Jess the Farmer’s 👩🏻‍🌾 favorite products which will rotate around, increase in quantity, and change as needed! There’s nothing like a visit from our not-so-little-anymore customers who were first brought here by their parents as babies. Rides in strollers up the long hill have now converted to walks up the hill…. Time grows us in many ways. The girls reminded me of a time when they came for a farm tour and got to hold the baby chicks, described their excitement for all the changes they’ve seen here over the years, and were enamored by the new classroom, too. One of these ladies announced she was almost old enough to work here now and can’t wait for the day! Clearly our pup Janie was also grateful for their visit. 🐶

This is why we do what we do. We are fed beyond our bellies by this farm life. ♥️
