We were lucky enough to participate in the MN Cooks event at the State Fair last weekend by the lovely Erica Strait, aka Foxy Falafel. The MN Farmers Union has been telling the stories of chefs and local farmers for ten years! This is our photo that appears in the 2013 MN Cooks calendar. Yes Molly had final approval on Uncle Dave's wardrobe .

My friend Molly McNeil is a busy woman. She slings farm-to-table food for a couple great food trucks, she does catering gigs, and in her spare time, she's a yoga instructor. But her secret sideline? The past couple of nights could prove to be really bad news for this year's crop. We took a chance and ran sprinklers on the apricots that bloomed about a month early. This ice that forms is actually warmer than the air and might help protect the vulnerable blooms/buds.
