When my second son passed away nine years ago...I planted this currant bush to honor him. It is almost as tall as I am now and producing profusely. It is also providing a home/nest for a little bird family.

I grow golden bamboo, a winter hardy bamboo. The shoots are edible and the plant looks tropical next to the goldfish pond. The mature stocks make nice garden structures, such as this tomato 🍅 cage . I only grow them in containers because they are aggressive and hard to eradicate. 🌱
