Sometimes the schedule wins.
An appointment this week threw our Sedalia Area Farmers' Market prep off just enough that we decided to skip Tuesday’s market and finally tackle a project we’ve been saying “we need to do that” about for months.
We’ll be back Friday loaded up with bagels, cookies, breads, sweet rolls, eggs, fresh produce, and a few comeback items we’ve been missing too.
Orders are open now. See you Friday… hopefully with one less thing on the never-ending farm to-do list. 😆

The bagel packaging finally arrived. 🎉

1,200 bags showed up yesterday, and after one market of clamshells, we know that’s one thing we never want to do again. 😂

The good news? We’re back to normal. The bad news? At the rate y’all buy bagels, 1,200 bags isn’t even a month’s supply. 😳

Onion bagels are back. 🧅

Wednesday was our “day off.”

8:00 AM appointment in Sedalia. Three stops in Jeff City. Three stops in Versailles.

By the end of the day we’d stocked the bakery, the farm, got parts for the brush hog, filled the pantry, and made a hardware store run.

And for anyone wondering… that Sam’s cart was just the bakery and farm supplies. 😳 There was a whole other cart for the household stuff.

The old Burb was loaded.

We did sneak in lunch at Pappo’s though. Alpha-gal safe pizza and a meal we didn’t have to cook ourselves. If that’s not a farm date, I don’t know what is. ❤️🍕🚜

Nothing says “successful market day” quite like a surprise tire purchase and an unplanned trip to the tire shop squeezed into Monday’s harvest and market prep schedule. 😂🚜

Tomatoes are finally here! 🍅🎉

The tables are loaded with fresh-picked produce, scratch-made bagels, breads, cookies, sweet rolls, pastured eggs, and pasture-raised chicken.

Fresh pasture day is apparently a pretty big deal around here. 🦃🌱

Turn the sound on and listen to the turkey committee discuss their excitement. Fresh grass, certified organic feed, sunshine, and plenty of room to roam.

I’d say they approve of the move.
