Ruby's Farmstand Ruby's Farmstand is a self serve farmstand open on Saturdays and Sundays. This stand is in memorial to our dog Ruby.

A portion of the proceeds made from Ruby's farmstand will be donated to help rescue dogs like Ruby.

This weekend is the 50th Machias Wild Blueberry Festival, and we are headed to enjoy the festivities. If you are in the area it is a great time, and you should go check it out. Back this weekend are the lemon blueberry cheesecake jars. These can be found in one of the coolers on the bottom part of the stand. These are not shelf stable and need to stay refrigerated. Also, found in the stand daily, we have honey and Maple syrup harvested from our property, homeade jams and jellies, and handmade pot holders.

This called bearding, it can happen for many different reasons. But in this scenario our bees are trying to cool off a hot day. In addition to bearding, the bees will stand at the entrance and quickly flap their wings in order to move air in and out of the hive.

This weekend, August 1st and 2nd, is Maine's 6th Annual Wild Blueberry Weekend. We encourage you to celebrate the states berry by stopping by your local farms and businesses this weekend. In honor of the weekend, we have blueberry streusel muffins and lemon blueberry cheesecake jars, both made with fresh raked blueberries from right here on the property.
