Back in the early 1900s, a young boy asked his father…”Dad you’re a doctor so that makes us rich, right?” The father looked at his son and said, “Son we are far from rich…we’re actually poor.” With a puzzled look the son said, “I don’t understand.” The father said, “We are poor because our patients are poor. In living in this small country town, my patients don’t have money to pay for my services. The farmers pay me in produce, the carpenters pay me in labor of the upkeep of our home, the livestock farmers pay me in meat, and so on. That’s why we’re poor. We’re only as wealthy as the market around us.”
To all of my entrepreneurs, small business owners, band chasers, etc. Don’t settle for less than what you’re worth. Take risks, jump, and find the market you deserve.
