Hello Everyone! Just wanted to send a quick reminder to everyone that we will be open for the 2025-26 season starting this Saturday, September 13. Please remember, ALL harvest must be legal and checked in prior to your drop off. NO EXCEPTIONS!

1. Prices will remain the same as last year. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding pricing.

2. We do not bulk grind! All cuts are boneless (unless otherwise requested), labeled, and frozen. You get your deer back!

3. We will be doing specialty items such as hot dogs, sausage, deer sticks, kielbasa, pork roll, and much more.

4. We will again have 24 hour drop off – We are committed to helping our hunters preserve their meat. Please shoot us a text or call giving us the heads up if you’re going to be late. We will work out it with you.

We are here for all your processing needs and committed to giving the best quality and service. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

We will be processing bears next week for Segment A - October 14-19. As always, your harvest must be legal and checked-in at an official state check station prior to dropping off. You will need to provide us your check-in info for us to receive and process your harvest. Pricing will be as follows: $1/lbs. to skin at initial weigh in and $1/lbs. to process after the hide has been removed.
If you get a big one or will be coming in late, just give us a call. Good luck, be safe, and if you have any questions please give us a call at 908 872-5489.

For those that are wondering, The Buck Stops Here will be OPEN for the 2024, 2025 season. When I started this journey some time ago it was ensuring fellow hunters get the very best service (one that I would want as a hunter myself), and making sure that there was a place available for those looking to get their game processed. I am thankful to all those that have made The Buck Stops Here what it is today. Former Lead Operator Collin Mayer has recently decided to pursue a new vision and opportunity. I thank him for all that he has done for The Buck Stops Here and wish him all the best. Trent Stoddart who most may know from The Meat Room, will now be taking over and leading The Buck Stops Here operations for the 2024-2025 season. Trent has a tremendous amount of past experience, and I have full confidence that he will continue to operate and serve to highest of standards as the leader of The Buck Stops Here. Hello Everybody,

Just wanted to take the time to thank all our customers so far. It’s been quite a start and when you throw in early bear season, it’s been even crazier. We are working hard to get everyone’s order processed. Thank you all for your understanding and patience.

Just a reminder: Regular bow season ends tomorrow (Friday, 10/27). Permit bow season starts Saturday, October 28th. Make sure to get your new tags if you haven’t done so! The leaves are changing, and the temperature is dropping. The hunting is about to get real good! Good luck, be safe, and feel free to reach out. Thanks again!!

Calling All Bear Hunters!!
The Buck Stops Here will be accepting bears next week for Segment A - October 9-14. As always, your harvest must be legal and checked-in at an official state check station prior to dropping off. You will need to provide us your check-in info for us to receive and process your harvest. Again, we are here to help in any way possible. If you have a big one or will be coming in late, just give us a call. Pricing will be as follows: $1/lbs. to skin at initial weigh in and $1/lbs. to process after the hide has been removed. Pricing will be prorated for those that do not want the full hide. At this time we are not accepting any donated meat. With summer coming to an end, that only means one thing, hunting season is right around the corner!! We want to wish everyone a successful and safe upcoming hunting season. We will be posting more this season and keeping everyone updated but for now we liked to highlight a few things to start off our 2023/2024 season.

1. First and foremost our prices will not be inflating as everything else continues to do so. We believe in the service and want to make it affordable for everyone. Most prices this year will remain the same as last year, however the ones that change are only due to direct cost increases from our suppliers which we will continue to work on so that we get our customers the best prices.

2. All cuts are boneless (unless otherwise requested), vacuum packed, labeled, and frozen. We do not bulk grind! You get your deer back!

3. We will be doing specialty items such as hot dogs, sausage, deer sticks, kielbasa, pork roll, burgers, and much more. Also, be on the lookout for new upcoming items throughout the season as well!

4. We will again have 24 hour drop off – We are committed to helping our hunters preserve their meat. Please shoot us a text or call giving us the heads up if you’re going to be late. We will work out it with you.

For the past 6 years, The Buck Stop’s Here has volunteered to butcher the deer for Wounded Warrior's Three-Day-Hunt at Picatinny Arsenal. To participate and be able to give back and honor these Wounded Warriors who have served is priceless. With Veteran’s Day approaching we want to thank each veteran that has proudly served our country. Words cannot convey our appreciation for your dedication and sacrifice. You are all truly heroes! And to Collin, Justin and Co. very proud of all your efforts and commitment to give back! Great job boys!!!

Here we go again…. The 2022/2023 Deer Season is finally here! Hope everyone enjoyed their summer!

Again, just wanted to reach out and wish everyone a successful and safe upcoming hunting season! With as hectic and as “tight” as things have gotten over the last year we just wanted to let everyone know that we won’t be changing much from last year-And that is a good thing!

Happy Opening Day of 6 Day Firearm!!

One of the most exciting weeks of hunting season is ahead of us! We wish everyone good luck and hope to see you guys this week. As always we are a 24/7 drop off! If you plan on bringing a deer in a heads up is always appreciated. Good Luck! And Shoot Straight!

We added some new items to our menu this year, and don’t forget everything is vacuum sealed!

ONCE AGAIN: Out-of-state hunters, please keep in mind the new regs. You must debone and skull cap any out of state deer before you enter into NJ. If you have questions, regarding this or any other regs please don't hesitate to contact us!
