Apple Balsamic Iced Tea

Are you ready for fall but also entering a September heat wave? Do you long for crisp autumn leaves and cable knit sweaters and apple picking? This refreshing beverage can be just the bridge between picnics and pumpkin patches.

1 cup iced tea (any black tea will do, or use a cinnamon blend for more fall flavor)
1/2 cup apple juice or cider
1 tsp Apple Balsamic.
Optional drizzle of honey or sugar for extra sweetness.

It is both refreshing and cozy!

Apple Balsamic Cheat Cake

No, I’m not implying that “Back To School” means it’s time to cheat. It’s less of a “cheat” and more of a short cut. Today, I’m recovering from throwing out my back but I’m going a little stir crazy so I crowdsourced the internet to see what I could make with Apple balsamic and other ingredients I have at home. I cobbled together a bunch of recipes and crossed my fingers that this would turn out as tasty as I thought. It surpassed expectations! See what you think

1 box yellow cake mix
1 can of apple pie filling
3 eggs
3 tablespoons of olive oil
3 tablespoons Apple Balsamic (I would probably add a touch more)
Tablespoon of cinnamon (get creative, I’m sure nutmeg, ginger, cardamom etc would work just fine)

Mix it all together and pour into a greased 9x13 pan
Sprinkle the top with cinnamon sugar.
Bake at 350 for 35ish minutes or until done.
Serve warm.
This would be delicious with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
