these are hands-on workshops where we practice the ancestral medicine of limpias on ourselves and once you feel ready, i encourage you to practice with family and community 💛. we will be practicing limpias with fire and smoke, with plants, and with eggs 🌱.

I see limpias as basic spiritual hygiene, and medicine for the body, mind, and spirit.
they’re part of self-care as much as they are a part of community care. 🌿

at this moment with everything going on, it feels like we’re collectively experiencing susto after susto, and not everyone knows how to move that energy for themselves and others. it gets stuck in the body and becomes chronic illness 🥺.

if there was ever a time to connect to our ancestral medicine, it is now 🔥🪶.

the next hands-on traditional limpias intensive workshop is happening this Saturday, November 22nd from 10:30am - 2:30pm in Wilmington, CA.

we’ll start this half-day retreat with a plática circle and then move into practicing offering ourselves the ancestral medicine of traditional limpias with fire and smoke, plants, and eggs 🔥🌿🥚.

come prepared to connect with yourselves, with ancestors, with Spirit, and with the elements, as we explore the sacred directions and their corresponding elements and how they relate to our energy according to Toltec cosmology and the medicine wheel🪶

beyond learning how to offer yourself and others limpias with copal smoke, this saturday’s workshop is about connecting with the fire and air elements within and around us 🔥🌬️.

fire and air are considered masculine elements and are associated with the directions of the east and the north 🪶. we’ll go over their significance and what are some ways we can balance those energies with our water 💧 and earth elements 🍃.

this is a sliding scale offering, and you will receive all the tools necessary to practice, and take home with you to continue. the space is small, so spots are limited. DM to register 🙏🏽

a limpia is essentially an energy cleanse that can help our body, mind, and spirit feel more balanced when we’re having difficulty moving that energy on our own 🥺.

our abuelas traditionally offered them when we we had just experienced a susto, mal de ojo was suspected, or when we were simply feeling off and couldn’t name why. i follow the tradition, and offer limpias with the assistance of copal smoke, herbs, and eggs 🪶🌱.

these are offered in the city of wilmington, ca in the privacy of a backyard, by sliding scale 😌.

join us next wednesday, october 30th at 6pm, PST, for a virtual community healing circle where we’ll honor sacred space, and connect to the supportive energy of our ancestors and the cempasúchil flower 🌼✨.

cepasúchil or cempohualxochitl as it’s known in the náhuatl language, contains the illuminating and warming energy of the sun in her petals as well as soothing, healing physical properties within her cells 🥹.  
she lights our ancestor’s path to the altar and can guide our path too, as we continue moving through the deep waters of this season and everything they’re bringing with them.  

this time of year can bring up a lot of grief and shadows as we’re either dealing with loss or facing parts of ourselves that we’ve deemed unworthy of being seen 🥺.

it’s important to do our own inner work, but also to allow ourselves to be held by community.  our ancestors understood the value of gathering for the purpose of supporting each other through our individual healing, knowing that if we do our own work, the community benefits as a whole ❤️‍🔥
