We don't always get to see what our customers make with our pork, but it's always a treat when we do!

These Mangalitsa Pork Chops were purchased as a custom cut Bone In Pork Loin Roast, and were cut into Frenched Thick Cut Bone In Chops by the customer. They also reserved the fat and trimmings for making sausage at a later date. Absolutely stunning!

We're really close to being able to sell our very own Pickles, Pickled Okra, and Cowboy Candy! We've passed our Acidified Foods course, and are in the process of registering with the FDA, and sending products for testing with NC State. We're looking forward to having more locally produced farm products available to purchase, as well as having another way to preserve our farms seasonal produce. We will have Dill Pickles, Bread & Butter Pickles, Pickled Okra, Jalapeno Cowboy Candy, and Lemon Spice Jalapeno Cowboy Candy to start with, and possibly more variety in the future. Who's excited?!

Off to the orchard this weekend with the fam. Be back next weekend!

Earlier today we found out we are finalists for an Unpretentious Palate Uppy Award for "Farmer of the Year". Today as I tried and wrap my head around how we got here, I could only repeat in my head, "Trust in God". That's how we got here in three words.

God put us where we are, doing what we're doing. It sounds weird saying that as a "pig farmer", but that is the truth of the matter. It doesn't make us any better than anyone else, and it doesn't mean we'll win. It just means we have purpose beyond feeding people. We're here to "plant seeds".

I want to congratulate Deep Roots CPS Farm and Wild Hope Farm on their nominations! It's an honor to be listed with you all. Some "high 5's" are coming your way when we get back to Uptown Farmers Market on Oct 24th.

Thank you to all of you that voted for us, and all those that continue to support our farm, including Jason Trivette and The Downbeat.

A special thank you to Chef Sam Hart and Counter- for not only supporting our farm for the past few years, but also always paying our pigs the highest respect by trying to utilize them nose to tail.
