📣📢 A few market notes for today! 📣📢

1️⃣ Thankfully Google Maps fixed the issue with trying to send traffic down the back alley 😅 So you can go ahead and type the address into Maps and it'll drop you right off in the parking lot!

2️⃣ We are trying some new things with the parking. We got a bit of feedback last week (first week at new location) about some parking congestion. We are working on that, so please bear with us as we streamline that process - and if you have any suggestions, send them our way!

3️⃣ We are adding a food truck row so you can grab your breakfast and a drink while you shop! Like the parking, we are working on the best setup for this. We'd love any feedback you have on that too 😊 (Also send us any recommendations for a breakfast food truck!!)

4️⃣ New location = new vendor setup. Your favorite vendors are probably in different places on our market footprint than you are used to, and over the coming weeks, vendors may move around a bit as we get everyone into places that fit best for them. If you can't find the one you are looking for, you can stop and ask any vendor and they'll point you in the right direction!

5️⃣ We've had LOTS of questions on when Riley Family Farms will be at market 😅 We get it, we love them too! Riley Family Farms is out of produce for the summer (it's too hot) and so are not attending weekly. They do come every once in awhile with their shelf stable items, but not as often. They WILL return to weekly markets in the fall when they have fresh produce available, promise!

6️⃣ Finally, just a small reminder that we are in no way affiliated with anything happening at the old Everhart location after our move. We've had lots of questions about that too 🙈

Thank you again for all of your support and love! We love the new location and we've already met tons of new customers! Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate the best way to take care of everyone at this new location 😊

More space = new vendors! 🎉

This week we are adding:

• W Starr Ranch - cold bottled coffee (so good!)
• Fresh Fruit Frenzy - agua frescas (refreshing!)

As well as the beginning of our new food truck row:

• Lemon Shakers - fresh squeezed lemonade 🍋🍋
• The Coastal Press - Coffee and other yummy drinks ☕

Also, we are so glad to have AMUNA's Candles back and also El Huisache, LLC with their huge supply of beautiful plants!

That's what we heard from our vendors today: "We are sold out!" 🎉🎉

This was by far the busiest market we have had in a long while and SO MANY new faces!

Thank you to everyone who came out today!
Thank you to our customers who made the move with us AND thank you to everyone who came out for the first time today!

We hope you found some goodies 🙌🏼 Feel free to tag us in your hauls or as you use your products. We love to highlight our talented vendors!

If your favorite vendors were sold out before you got there, we do apologize. Many of our vendors accept preorders so one option is to secure your order in advance for next market by reaching out to them. And our vendors will do their best to have enough for everyone next week. We can't wait to see you next week ❤️

If you are using Google Maps to get to the new market address, DO NOT take the road behind the market space. That's not a road 😅 It's barely a dirt pathway.

We have reported this path as "not a road" but waiting for Google to catch up.

So Google Maps will try to send you down the blue path (down Richter St) but no need for that. Just stay on Holly and turn into the Coastal Bend Wellness Clinic parking lot. You can't miss it!

The Southside Farmers Market has a new home! Shop local meat, produce and handmade goods every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at its new location.

We have a unique vendor system:

Our vendors sign up for THE WHOLE YEAR.

AND they commit to attend 75% of all markets for that year!

👉 For customers, this means that you know what to expect from markets. You know that you can show up and get the bread you like, the eggs you like, the pickles you like, etc.

It means you can build a RELATIONSHIP with the farmers and makers, and become invested in their businesses.

💥 It also means that our vendors are committed! This is not a market they just "show up to sometimes", it's one that they are helping to build every week, with every single customer.

🛡️ But it also means that it's security for our vendors. They don't have to worry about not responding to an email in time and missing a market. It means they have a home and they can make plans for their future.

If you are a vendor and are wanting to apply with our market, becoming part of the market family is a big part of it! We want committed weekly vendors with high quality products that will bring value to our customers.

And if that isn't your goal, then we also have our quarterly craft fairs where you can come setup just a few times a year, meet our wonderful customers, and share your wares! 🎉

‼️ Note: our craft fairs fill up FAST (sometimes months in advance) and since our farmers market approves membership vendors for the calendar year, we don't always have openings.

We are excited for the extra space at our new location which will allow us to expand some, but unfortunately we still can't approve every vendor - as much as we would love to!
