Okay deer hunters it's time to get serious. I'm not sure where July and August went but they're gone. We're now just one month away from opening day of the archery season. I've been shooting weekly since the fourth of July weekend and now i'm going to switch to daily. As hunters we owe it to ourselves and to the game that we pursue to make a quick clean humane kill. Not only does it make for a short recovery, but it also makes a big difference in the quality of the meat
that we're going to consume. I'm fortunate enough to have a backyard to practice in. But if you don't check with your local pro shop to practice in. Also, there's a new indoor range that just opened in Kendallville called Play Time Archery that offers up to 50 yards to sharpen your skills. I'm sure we're all excited for the new season to come and if you have bow hunted very long you know there's nothing worse than to have a bad hit on a deer.
