We're always excited to be connected to the high points of Coupeville and Ebey. Check this out! Upcoming Pratt Barn Program: Walking Ebey’s Trail System - Connecting People to the Land.

🌿 **ONE WEEK AWAY!** 🌿

Join us next Tuesday for our upcoming Pratt Barn Program: Walking Ebey’s Trail System - Connecting People to the Land.

Whidbey Camano Land Trust Stewardship Director Jessica Larson will share how the Land Trust, private landowners, public agencies, and local organizations are working together to create a connected trail network through the prairies and farmland of Ebey’s Reserve.

πŸ₯Ύ Virtually explore existing trails
🌾 Learn about the partnerships making them possible
πŸ—ΊοΈ Get a look at plans for the next phase of trail construction

And the setting is pretty special, too! The program takes place inside the historic Pratt Sheep Barn, a National Park Service-restored barn that is only opened for educational programs. It’s a wonderful opportunity to step inside and experience this beautiful historic structure while learning more about the landscape that surrounds it.

πŸ“… Tuesday, August 25
πŸ•‘ 2:00–3:30 p.m. (allow 10-15 minutes to walk to the barn)
πŸ“ Pratt Sheep Barn

Getting there: The Pratt Barn is accessed from the trailhead at 162 Cemetery Road in Coupeville Look for signs at the trailhead directing you to the barn. Bring water!

Presented in partnership with the Whidbey Camano Land Trust.

Special thanks to Friends of Ebey's for sponsoring this event!

We hope to see you there!

We love some Island history! What a fun post by our historical society and a surprise to see our name in the shared history. ❀️

Have you seen the first car on Whidbey in person? Here is Carl Dean standing at Dean Motor Co. at Prairie Center beside our 1902 Holsman Car.
The car was driven in parades until 1990 when it came to its final home here.
This car was pre Model T, and can still run (if we put the gas tank back on).
