It is with deeply grateful hearts that we share some bittersweet news — Cuba Bakery & Deli storefront will be serving its last day of food service this Saturday, May 30th.
This has been an incredible journey, and none of it would have been possible without each and every one of you. Your loyalty, your smiles, and your support have meant the world to us. We truly have the best customers.
We'll be offering discounts throughout the week on all stocked retail items — so come on in and stock up!
We hope you will join us this final week to enjoy some delicious sandwiches and bakery items. Depending on how the week goes, we may keep the doors open the following week to sell through remaining retail items, though food service will not continue past Saturday, May 30th. We'll keep you posted!
We also want to take a moment to recognize the incredible people who showed up day after day to bring good food and warm service to this community. A heartfelt thank you to our present team members — Billie Jo Cowhick, Matthew McMullin Garner, Tina Stranghoener, and Krissie Luke — and to past team members with special recognition to Peggy Farmer, who lead our baking team for the first 3 years of service, and Karen Groom our first manager, Danielle O'Neal, and all of our past employees who poured their heart into what we built together. We are so proud of what this team has accomplished.
We also want to thank our incredible family and friends who's support was unwavering. Without you, none of it would have been possible: David & Sarah McMullin, Shelly McMullin, David Lane & Lexi Box, Megan and Travis Hood, Grace Hood, Toby Hood, Gabriel Hood, the Frohbeiter Family, David and Tabitha Box, and Tony Lux. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
And while this chapter of our story is closing, we're hopeful to continue serving you through our mobile/food truck and catering. We'll keep you posted on that news as we figure things out. Stay tuned! 🚚
From the bottom of our hearts to all of our Community — thank you. It has been our honor to feed you.
With love and gratitude,
Laura & Mark Wallace
