The Quality Beef we offer is born and raised on the Ballard Ranch just east of Buffalo Gap, SD. Russ and Ellen Ballard started raising black angus 25 years ago. They have in the past, supplied beef for several local restaurants including Skogen Kitchen and Sage Creek Grille. The cattle spend their summer days grazing the native prairie pastures of the ranch surrounded by fresh air and clean water. The ranch's ethical handling practices ensure calm stress-free animals that produce tender delicious and nutritious meat.
Meat by the piece will be offered soon through J Ellen Design & Market and Little Tom's Mercantile in Custer, SD.
Bulk packages are seasonally available in 1/4, 1/2 and WHOLE options. The cuts are mixed and custom cut via your personal cutting and packaging instructions. Any of these above options will contain steaks, roasts, and ground beef.
