Well...well...well...Marley finally got off his back side and started building again. His latest...this little fingerstyle OM made from Bolivian Rosewood with Western Red Cedar top. He actually resawed and the milled the wood from rough cut logs. This piece will also have a bevelled arm rest...his first. Let him know what you think. More pics to follow...

Saints, preserve us! Marley finally finished the Koa OM. It goes to the customer tonight. This particular guitar has a K&K under-bridge passive pickup. Marley's friend - composer, performer, and recording artist Brandon D**e, tested it out last week and it sounds great! That said, Marley should leave the photographey to Greg Cayer over at Cayer Photography...great product photographer.

Next on the bench is a Bolivian Rosewood and Cedar OM with Wenge center wedge on the back and matching arm bevel.

Happy belated St. Patrick's Day. I know it's been a while since our last post. What can I say..... life takes over some times. Anyhow...Marley FINALLY has the Koa OM ready for finishing. And I can't wait till he gets the first coat on...a French polish with a polamarized linseed oil. (I k bbn ow...right?) Seriously though, the flame is gonna "burn," as we say on the Isle. You might can see a hint of the flame in the sides in the third pic. Of course, as Marley always says, no.matter huh ow good it looks...it must sound even better!

"God makes the trees..."
Beautiful morning in the Upstate....finally got a clear day to drop off 200+ year old cherry at the Sawyer for milling and quarter sawing. Tree "felled" by Hurricane Matthew in 2016 in the Low Country. I'll pick this up in a couple weeks and put it in the shed next to the Walnut. It'll be a few years before it's ready but it's gonna make many beautiful guitars.
