Our hens have been working overtime and we are blessed with LOTS of fresh eggs right now — so we’re lowering our chicken egg prices to just $2.50 per dozen! 🐔

Our newest addition to the farm this weekend! After parting ways with our Hereford heifer, we needed to find a pasture companion for our mini horse Charlie and too give our LGD Buddy a job again. These 2 little boys were perfect for that. We are having trouble coming up with names… any suggestions???

Who else is ready for Thanksgiving!? Seems crazy to think about in early May but if you want a farm fresh bird to bite into on the last Thursday of November this is the time to do it. We will have 5 turkeys available for Thanksgiving this year. Anyone interested in reserving one for the holiday please message us to reserve your bird. Non-gmo fed and time on pasture each day when they come of age.

We decided to try our luck with a $23 glitch site incubator and so far we are 10/10! All embryos look alive and well. Hoping they all make it to hatch. This is day 9 ducks (unlike chickens) take 28 days to hatch instead of 21.

This time of year is great but a day like today was absolutely the perfect storm. 80 degrees sunny then overcast with a quick driving rain right before dusk and this is the result! You can literally hear and feel the ground moving on our property when it’s like this. Nightcrawlers the length of your palm and then some in the thousands. Any of our fellow fishermen and fisher ladies that want to have some free bait there is plenty here to go around!

Winner is Jordan Hauer with his guess of 28.7 the turkeys weight came in at 30.8lbs! Had to weigh on a regular scale as he did not fit on the kitchen scale!

Anyone who wants to play a game and win a prize?! We will post pics below of this years turkey and anyone who wants to play just has to guess a dressed weight on this years big boy! The closest guess will get a free dozen farm fresh chicken eggs! I will post pictures tomorrow of the scale once he is ready.

PS Dressed weight is the weight after all organs and limbs are removed and ready for the oven.ylw
