UPDATE:

Dad is out of surgery & in his room. They were unable to place the stint because of the blockage, but, he will have medicine & a new diet for the rest of his life to help prevent this from happening again. Thankfully for him, his wife is one helleva cook. 😁 His right leg is the only part of him that is weak & he will have rehabilitation therapy to help him gain his strength back in it. Mom has been discharged & is with him now. They are reunited & it feels so good!! 💞

Kevin, our Sweet Amazing big Bother, will be staying with Dad tonight, while Mom, Tiffany & I go home for some much needed rest now that we can all finally catch our breaths. Mom will be staying with Tiffany for now. We do not yet know when dad will be busting out of here.

We sincerely cannot Thank everyone enough for the Prayers & Support during this most difficult time. I feel like I have been living one of my worst nightmares! Both Parents at Once!? It makes sense simply because the LOVE these two have for each other is Rare & Real! ❤️ But, they are not allowed to do this ever again! Lol 😮‍💨 As much as this has completely altered our lives & with us all having to figure out where to restart from here, we know we will have no problem creating a new system to keep business flowing smoothly because of the amazing customers we have & the support we’re receiving from all of you.

Along with therapy, Mom is going to work on getting Dad’s pointer finger nice & strong, like hers, so he can direct Tiffany & I on where to handle business as needed! 😉😆 Business is still on hold for the moment, but I hope to be back to work on the route by Monday morning! If you have a machine that is not working correctly, I will be there as soon as possible to fix it if I can. As for restocking the machines, I ask for continued patience & understanding until I can make my rounds back to you. Please kindly remember that we have lots of locations to get back on track.

The last few days have been a whirlwind.

Friday night, 12/12, Dad had a stroke. DRMC got Dad on the 1st life flight to Duke Friday night/Saturday morning & we have been here ever since. As soon as he arrived here, he went straight into procedure to remove blood clots from his brain & they found an 80% blockage in the artery of his neck while doing so. That procedure went perfectly! Dad will be having a stint placed in his artery some time tomorrow.

Then, Saturday night, 12/13, Mom had a heart attack & is now suffering from the Broken Heart Syndrome after 24 hours of literally worrying sick about dad & her adrenaline pumping non stop. As soon as mom got down to the ER, they took her straight back to place a stint in 1 of her heart valves & found a 2nd blockage while doing so. Mom is now out of her 2nd procedure for having the 2nd stint placed in her heart valve at the other blockage & will be moving out of ICU to a regular room in a few hours. Her procedure went perfectly! Depending on her recovery, she may get to go back to being a visitor at this hospital instead of a patient by tomorrow.

Thankfully, mom acted fast at the first signs of dad acting funny & in short, saved his life! Mom already being at this hospital with dad at her first signs, saved her life. Because of their swift actions, dad is back to his normal self, just weak, sore & tired. Mom is doing great but also weak, sore & tired.

Dad is no longer attached to any tubes & not only has he moved out of ICU into a regular room now, he also got to be wheeled down to see his Bride after she came out of her procedure! Finally reunited together after a hell of a weekend. ❤️‍🩹

With all of that being said, we are Praying that these procedures go perfectly & both will get to go home later in the week. Every single personnel we have come in contact with here has been absolutely amazing to all of us! Taking care of Tiffany & I just as well as they are taking excellent care of our World, our Parents.

We want to say Thank You to our amazing family & friends who have been checking on us & being here for us every way they can be. We are truly blessed. And to Our absolute Wonderful Husbands, we wouldn’t be able to be as strong as we have been for our parents if you two haven’t been the strength we’ve been needing during all of this. It’s clear we found our soulmates & our parents see just how well we will be taken care of for the rest of our lives with yall.

As you can imagine, this changes everything for us. All Business is at a standstill for now, until we can ensure they both are on a good road to recovery. Tiffany & I will be handling most of everything from now on to make these two hard working, hard headed parents of ours begin to enjoy the benefits of everything they have worked so hard for all of their lives & we don’t want them doing too much anymore that will stress or strain them. They do NOT want visitors or bombarded with phone calls, so please reach out to Tiffany or myself with any check ins, questions, or business. We will keep updating as we know more from here. Once we know they are home, settled & WELL, we’ll give the Okay for visitors & phone calls.

Please be patient & understanding until I can make it back to work to get everyone’s machines restocked & schedule back on track. Dad will no longer be running himself to death for ANYONE! Rental or Vending! He will also no longer be lending out ANY favors to ANYONE either. As his daughters, who he has taught everything we know, we will now be taking care of business. Or will be directing you to phone another friend for any said favors. If you have any problems with your machines, we will do our best to get to you as soon as possible to fix the issue. If you have any problems with your rental property, we will have someone come by to fix the issue as soon as possible.

Virginia Vending will be closed next week for Christmas. We will be a week behind schedule but we will make our round back to you as soon as possible once we return on Monday, 12/30.
