LABOR DAY: The holiday arose during the late 19th-century Industrial Revolution when laborers often worked 12 hours a day, seven days a week, in unsafe conditions. Thankfully, we now have labor laws that protect us from this in America and we celebrate those who work hard every day to feed their families!

We are super grateful for Chris & Tyler’s hard work every day at our market and farm to keep it up and running!

🚜 Farming Friday! Tyler has bush hogged pasture, Jessica mowed down the path for the electric fencing and we’re about to get our laying chickens moved again to new pasture! Pictured below is our set up. The mobile coop on wheels, feed bin and the water tank. Tyler hooks up to these and moves them to our new area of pasture.

Lately we’ve had a skunk 🦨 who has found ways to get in and eat the eggs! Needless to say, this little skunk might have a “shocker” (pun intended) when we move them to fresh pasture and our electric box is better grounded. 🤪 ⚡️
