Hey guys! Just a heads up about a RECALL on TJ's Chicken Fried Rice due to potential glass 😵‍💫🥡🥢

As per their official email sent out this afternoon: Certain lot codes of Trader Joe’s Chicken Fried Rice (SKU 33251) may be contaminated with foreign material, specifically glass.

Affected codes are “Best By” dates between 9/08/26 and 11/17/26.

There have been no confirmed reports of injury related to the recalled product.

If you have packages with lot codes listed above, please do not use them. We urge you to dispose of them and go to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund.

Pssst... Did you know that each Trader Joe's store has a different mascot meant to represent the store & community? Ours happens to be this adorrrbs sea turtle named Speedy 🥹❤️

He hides around the store, a different spot each day. If you bring your kid, it's not only a fun hide & seek game to play.. but they may get a little something if they let a TJ's crew member know where they spotted Speedy that day! 🍭

The opening of the upscale grocery at Tomoka Town Center on Nov. 14, 2025, came 13 years after the petition began to bring Trader Joe's to Daytona.

Oh, hey. This? Just a girl who drove less than fifteen minutes to our neighborhood Trader Joe's for a few things including this ✨ p o s t - TJ's g l o w ✨💅🏻

For anyone who mistook me for an employee (TOTALLY didn't wear "TJ's blue" on purpose 🫠), I'm glad to have helped you find your seed crackers and/or stuffing.

To the friendly, enthusiastic TJ's fans who came out to wait in line and show your support for this new store, thank you for your great energy and the choice to find joy in "small" things ;) and could the weather have been any more beautiful?!

To the lovely crew, Tracy, Dina, and the employees and out-of-town TJ's reps who were a part in making this SUCH a smooth and well-run opening, THANK YOU. You're each so awesome, I only wish I could've learned all of your names (it will happen) ♥️

I was told that despite the hype and preparation, they did *not* expect THIS long of a line and this big of a bang for this store - "people are always excited, but this is definitely the biggest opening we've seen in Florida" (honestly, though, we knew that would happen, right?)

Thank you to the local and regional journalists who helped to keep this mission alive in the news, both online and in publication.

You guys - yes, YOU - have been a pivotal part of making this happen. Thank you for signing a lil' ambitious petition I started 13 years ago, sending in location requests, and being a part of this page and community.

Our new Trader Joe's will be open 9a-9p daily. And the parking lot is nothing if not therapeutic compared to any past TJ's parking lot you may have ever manuevered 🥹

Remember to be kind to employees, fellow shoppers, security, crows, squirrels, and everyone (and everything) in between.

Keep it classy by placing an item back home on it's shelf if you change your mind, and lest not forget to corral those beautiful red shopping carts 😘
