Why do we over eat?
OUR FOOD may be the CAUSE!
Highly processed, and what I personally consider, overly processed food, is usually very soft.
But why?
It may be INTENTIONALLY MANUFACTURED that way in the US! Again, but why?
Currently leading scientific indicators and Robert Kennedy Jr. (head of HHS) seem to be leaning toward the idea that processed food is intentionally made softer to create less chewing. Less chewing may be responsible for over eating. AKA: your body knows how many times you should chew, to signal feeling full, and when you don’t chew enough, you eat more. 🤯
Prime example of this, things like Twinkies, which are very soft. In the 1970s Twinkies were far more firm, had less chemicals—if any at all. They required more chewing. Usually you ate one, and that was enough. Now the urge to eat a second one seems pretty normal (if indeed you eat Twinkies).
Petroleum based chemical dyes, excessive preservatives, and artificial “texturizers” in the American food supply needs to stop. Hopefully, under the direction of former Democrat Robert Kennedy Jr. it will! So far Kennedy and the HHS are off to an impressive start.
