Gilbertson's General Store, Keyeser, WI Gilbertson's Store opened in 1894, serving as a general store with a wide variety of goods, including tools, food, and other items. Including C.B.

It also offered a tavern, making it a social gathering place for the community. The store was owned and operated by multiple generations of the Gilbertson family. Gilbertson, followed by Kenny Gilbertson, who started working there at the age of 10, eventually took over with his wife, June, after 43 years of tobacco farming. Gilbertson's has long been a cornerstone of the Keyeser community, providi

ng goods, services, and a cherished gathering place—a true "time capsule" and "community space" reflecting the town's rich history. After 130 years of dedicated service, Gilbertson's Store closed its doors in late October 2024 as Kenny Gilbertson retired. Now, under new ownership, David and Rachel Munz purchased the building in April 2025 and have proudly reopened it, welcoming all to reminisce and enjoy its legacy today.

🇺🇸🎓 Big Milestones & Holiday Hours at Gilbertson’s General Store! 🎓🇺🇸

Can you believe next week is already Memorial Day? We also have our oldest graduating, so it is going to be an incredibly hectic (but exciting!) week around the store.

To celebrate these major family milestones, we will be adjusting our hours slightly next week:

⏰ Wednesday, May 20th: Closing early at 5:00 PM for our daughter's Senior Night.

⏰ Friday, May 22nd: Closing early at 5:00 PM for her actual graduation ceremony.

We thank you so much for your patronage and understanding as we support our graduate!

❤️🇺🇸 Memorial Day Hours (Monday, May 25th):

We WILL be open for the holiday! We hope you can come out and join us. We will be here from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

A huge thanks to CDS Automotive Diagnostics and Repair for bailing us out tonight. If you find yourself in a bind and lock your keys in your car Cory's fantastic and will come out open your car and even cut a extra key on site.
