🍁🚨 WELL… I DID A THING. 🚨🍁

Apparently I have decided that Christmas Crack should no longer be limited by the constraints of the Christmas season. 😂

Because listen…

I found chocolate graham crackers.

Then I found adorable little fall decorations.

And at that point, I really had no choice. 🤷‍♀️

🎃🍫 FALL CRACK WAS BORN. 🍫🎃

Chocolate graham crackers covered in buttery homemade toffee, topped with chocolate and sprinkled with all the cute little fall things.

Is it reasonable? No.

Is it necessary? Also no.

Did I make it anyway?

ABSOLUTELY. 😂

And now I have created a new problem because this stuff is ridiculously good and I apparently have ZERO self-control when there is toffee involved.

So if you see me hiding in the kitchen eating pieces straight off the pan…

Mind your business. 🤣🤣🤣

Welcome to fall at Gemini Hollow Farms, where the chickens are spoiled, the incubators are full, and apparently even Christmas candy gets a seasonal wardrobe change. 🍂🐓😂

Now the important question…

👇 Would you buy a bag of Gemini Hollow Farms FALL CRACK? 👇

Because I’m thinking this little accident might need to become a thing. 😏🍁

🐓 New Property. New Battles. Another Lesson Learned. 🐜
Farming has a way of teaching you lessons you never wanted to learn. 😪
Since moving to our new property, we’ve discovered a battle we weren’t prepared for: fire ants.
We knew fire ants could be dangerous to tiny chicks, but we learned the hard way that older juveniles aren’t necessarily safe either. We lost some young chicks, a teenage Lemon Cuckoo Polish rooster, and a Black Copper Marans pullet. 💔
Those losses hurt. These aren't “just chickens” to us. We hatch them, raise them, watch their personalities develop, and carefully select birds for the breeding programs we're building here at Gemini Hollow Farms.
So today we're adapting.
We’re developing a new fire-ant management plan for the farm—treating the property around our poultry areas, addressing colonies and mounds inside the appropriate areas, and adding fire-ant inspections to our routine before young birds are moved onto new ground.
New property. New battles. New lessons.
One thing we're learning quickly about farming is that what worked on one piece of land may not work on another. You have to learn your property—its soil, predators, insects, weather, and challenges—and adjust.
We can't undo the birds we've lost, but we can make what we learned from them matter. ❤️
Today, we're fighting back.

🌾 WELL…WE SUPPOSE IT’S TIME TO SHOW OUR FACES! 😂
If you've been following Gemini Hollow Farms, you've seen plenty of chickens, chicks, hatching eggs, farm projects and probably more poultry pictures than you ever expected…
But you haven't really seen us. ❤️
So, hello from De Kalb, Texas! 👋🌾
We’re JoEllyn and Ronny Richards-Martel, the husband-and-wife team behind Gemini Hollow Farms.
Ronny is the hands-on, “I can build/fix/figure that out” half of this operation. 🔨🚜
JoEllyn is the business, planning, paperwork, big-ideas-and-“Ronny, I have another idea…” half. 😂
And pictured with us are two of our kids, Willow and Emett, who get to come along for this crazy farm adventure whether they planned on it or not. 😂❤️
These photos were taken on a pretty special day:
July 30, 2026 — the day we officially closed on our farm here in De Kalb, Texas. 🏡🔑
Also pictured with us is Natasha Crabbe our Realiter, who helped us get across that finish line and got to witness the beginning of this next chapter with us. ❤️
We've already shared plenty about the journey, so we won't tell that whole story again.
Today, we just wanted to finally introduce you to some of the humans behind all those chickens. 😂🐓
Hi! We're the Richards-Martels.
We're building our family farm in De Kalb, Texas.
And we're Gemini Hollow Farms. 🌾🐓🏡❤️
Now that you know what we look like…stick around.
We've got a farm to build. 🌱

🌅 Before the sun was up, Gemini Hollow Farms was already awake.
Some mornings start with coffee. This one starts with a dream becoming reality.
Today, we're taking one of the biggest steps in the history of Gemini Hollow Farms as we head toward the closing table for the farm we've worked so hard to build.
What began with a handful of backyard chickens, a love for animals, and a vision for something bigger has grown into a dream of preserving rural life, raising quality livestock, and creating a place where families can learn, connect, and make memories.
This isn't the finish of our story—it's the starting gate for the next chapter.
Thank you to everyone who has encouraged us, followed our journey, purchased our chicks and baked goods, shared our posts, and believed in what Gemini Hollow Farms could become.
Today, we don't just cross a finish line...
We open the gate to our future. 🐓🐐🌾
Welcome to the next chapter of Gemini Hollow Farms.

🌿🏡 We Have Exciting News! 🏡🌿
The wait is finally over... Gemini Hollow Farms has a new home!
We are beyond excited to officially announce that we have purchased our farm and are now located in De Kalb, Texas! ❤️
This has been a dream years in the making. There have been countless prayers, long days, setbacks, lessons, and moments when we wondered if this day would ever come. But today, we're grateful to say, we're home.
The move is still underway—we have one final load to bring over from our previous place—but our chickens, geese, dogs, and cats are already settling into their new surroundings and loving farm life here in De Kalb.
As with any move, there have been bittersweet moments. We sadly lost one of our beautiful laying Lemon Cuckoo Polish hens due to the stress of the move and the extreme Texas heat. She will always be a part of our story, and her loss reminds us how precious every animal in our care truly is.
This new property marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Gemini Hollow Farms. We can't wait to share our poultry breeding projects, farm adventures, educational opportunities, and everything else we have planned with all of you.
Thank you to everyone who has followed our journey, encouraged us, prayed for us, and believed in this dream. Your support has meant more than you'll ever know.
✨ Welcome to Gemini Hollow Farms' new home in De Kalb, Texas! We can't wait to show you what's next.

🇺🇸 Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸

Today our nation celebrates 250 years of freedom, perseverance, and opportunity. As we celebrate this historic Independence Day, our family has another milestone to celebrate.

After months of searching, planning, inspections, paperwork, and waiting... every form has been signed. 🖊️

We are now just 11 days away from closing on the future home of Gemini Hollow Farms. 🌾🏡

This Fourth of July is especially meaningful because it will be the last one we celebrate anywhere other than our own home. Next year, we'll be watching fireworks from our own porch, surrounded by our animals, our gardens, and the farm we've dreamed about building together.

For us, this isn't just buying property—it's planting roots, building a future, and creating a place where family, farming, and community can grow for generations to come.

Thank you to everyone who has followed our journey, encouraged us, and celebrated each milestone with us. The countdown is officially on!

Happy Independence Day, everyone! ❤️🤍💙

🇺🇸 11 days to go.
🌾 The future home of Gemini Hollow Farms is almost ours.

🐓🚜 Happy Father's Day from Gemini Hollow Farms! 🚜🐓
Today we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who teach us the value of hard work, patience, and perseverance.
A special Father's Day shoutout goes to Ronny, the heart behind so much of what we do here at Gemini Hollow Farms. From caring for our animals and building coops to supporting every dream and project on the farm, his dedication helps turn our vision into reality every day.
Farming isn't just about raising animals and growing food—it's about building a legacy, creating memories, and teaching the next generation the importance of responsibility, kindness, and stewardship.
Thank you to all the dads who work tirelessly to provide for their families, lend a helping hand, and show up day after day with strength and love.
🌾 Wishing all fathers a day filled with appreciation, laughter, and time spent with those who matter most.
Happy Father's Day! 💜 The Gemini Hollow Farms Family

🏡🌱 BIG NEWS FROM GEMINI HOLLOW FARMS! 🌱🏡
We are excited to share that we have officially reached a major milestone in our farm journey!
After months of searching, researching, planning, and running the numbers, we made an offer on a property—and our offer was ACCEPTED! 🎉
We are now entering the next phase of the home-buying process. This week we are scheduling the property inspection and preparing to submit our earnest money deposit. These are important steps that move us closer to making Gemini Hollow Farms' permanent home a reality.
While there are still several steps ahead, including inspections, underwriting, and final approvals, this is the furthest we have ever come toward owning a farm of our own.
This property represents so much more than land. It represents a future where we can continue growing our poultry breeding programs, expand our farm products, build educational opportunities for children, and bring our Farm Strong with T1D vision to life.
Anyone who has purchased a home knows there are plenty of moving parts between an accepted offer and closing day, but today we're taking a moment to celebrate how far we've come. Every document submitted, every conversation, and every milestone reached has brought us one step closer to this goal.
Thank you to everyone who has followed our journey, supported our farm, purchased chicks and eggs, offered advice, and cheered us on along the way. Your encouragement has meant a great deal to us.
We'll continue sharing updates as we move through inspections and the remaining steps toward closing. The dream is starting to feel very real.
💜🐓🐐🌻
