Farmhouse 43 Preserving my grandmother's traditions one small batch at a time.

Owner/Creator Ashley West is part old soul, a little bit flower child, Proud Mama to the TresLibras, and some even say a "kindred spirit." She is a 6th generation Denton county resident, and the first generation to not grow up on a working farm. A little pinch of this and a little of that has led Ashley to reconnect to her past and bring attention to the time-old traditions of Texas Farm to Table

cooking and "Putting Up" or canning. This style of cooking and way of life has taught Ashley to have a deep appreciation for those who came before her and how important it is to preserve and continue to share our Texas heritage. Ashley has spent many years perfecting the recipes from old Texas farm cookbooks and listening to recipes passed down through the family. She is now ready to take the next step and share the Texas farm cooking traditions with all of y'all!

Did you come out last night and try some of that delicious and refreshing Wundermelon Watermelon Kolsch from local Denton brewer Armadillo Ale Works? Only something that worthwhile would have have folks standing in line over and over! Man, was it Amazing! Then did you grab you some of those grubbin' good waffles from our friends at The Waffle Wagon? Did you know that was our special edition Strawberry Watermelon and Blueberry Watermelon we whipped up for them especially for last night? It was quite a night!! Thanks to all that made it exciting, especially Oak St. Drafthouse for being as Denton as it gets!!
