Soup Witch has been such a fantastic add to the City Park community this year!

Margaret Jane sources ingredients locally, and brings a depth of nutritional knowledge to each jar of soup she sells.

We’ve been jamming on the gazpacho during these hot summer days, and it always keeps us feeling refreshed and full of healthy energy. Buuuutttt can’t wait until the cozy days with some congee in our bowls either. Can’t lose here.

Chef Tim of Bistro Vendôme came to the market on Saturday with no idea what he was going to make for the chef demo. He brought a few extra goodies (like Leopold Bros. vinegar) and was off to the races, visiting farmers and local food producers to find inspiration and gather ingredients.

A few hours later Chef Tim was serving a brilliant stone fruit salad in mass to customers - with about a dozen market vendors contributing ingredients that ultimately made a perfectly balanced dish.

Thanks for seasonal cooking the inspiration, Chef!

…And we didn’t even get half of it!

The point here is that there’s A LOT of unique fruits and veggies here at the market this time of year. All local. All transparent. All nutrient dense and grown with love. And that’s not to mention the meat, dairy, bread, and hundreds of pantry staples to get you through the week.
