Franks Food Mart is a social impact investment of Colorado nonprofit Love UpRising through partnership with Colorado Fresh Food Financing Fund, City & County of Denver's Office of Economic Development, and Colorado Enterprise Fund. The Vision of Love UpRising is that Franks Food Mart continues to serve the next 7 generations of the first 7 generations served fresh, natural country produce, meats,
and fish. In February 2016, Love UpRising closed on the aquisition of Franks Food Mart, and began nonprofit grocer operations. The mission of the Love Uprising is to promote organic community development. In a truly self reliant and culturally rich neighborhood, all the goods crafts and services needed can be found within a walk from home. Love Uprising develops urban farms (Barrett Community DUG garden); stocks corner groceries (Franks Food Mart), restaurants (Cora Fayes), and homes with local produce(Groundwork Greens, Seeds of Power Farm); promotes cultural educational events (HarvestShare) and expands the local economy for goods and services to promote self-sustaining walkable neighborhoods.
