I’ve been super excited for this addition to the Farmstand! Insulated grocery bags to keep your purchases cold on the drive home!

$10 a bag, $5 if you spend $50 or more and FREE if you spend $100 or more.

I was really hoping they would be here for last weekend’s restock so I will apply the bag prices to previous purchases last weekend if you want to stop in and grab a $5 or free bag! (I hope that makes sense 🥴)

Grab some meat & eggs, cook Moms a meal this weekend so that they don’t have to!!

Happy Mother’s Day everyone!!! 💝🌷💐

Last week our piglets arrived!! Sadie is quite smitten with them and likes to check on them several times a day. (Charlie would rather be climbing on the closest tractor) A break from the extra chores of pigs and chickens over the winter was nice but I am so happy to have some “pets” again!!

🧡 ANNOUNCEMENT 🧡
WE ARE OPEN!

however

After giving hard, meaningful thought we have unfortunatly decided to take a hiatus on the Skyline Beef business. This decision is NOT the end of an era for us. We are looking at this as a temporary hault while we put our energy and focus towards the shifts of the dairy business.

This was not an easy decision and we know how unfortunate this is. It makes us sad too. We can't thank all of you enough for you support over the years. We are very grateful and appreciative.

Our farm store has always been small but mighty and we hope to keep it this way. We will remain OPEN for all your raw milk, farm fresh eggs, Brown's Family Maple, Hi-Vue Raw Honey, and hopefully more local Vermont products we all love. Our doors are always open for visitors and we hope to see you all around.

Thank you all for supporting our family, our farm and helping keep our dreams alive!

We couldn't continue to do what we do everyday without you and the support our community has brought to the table for us.

Please share!

Local Beef suppliers the we recommend include:
Vermont Roots
Chandler Pond Farm
NEK Processing
Pond View Farm

Fun fact about me… I LOVE to read. I think people think I am crazy that I somehow manage to fit reading into my life but any free second I can find in the day I am pulling out my kindle or a book even if it is just a few minutes I can fit in. 📚

Last fall I started this little farmstand library to share my love of reading with others! I stopped over the winter so books didn’t get ruined by snow blowing in but HOPEFULLY 🤞🏻🤞🏻 we have seen the last of the snow for the year. These books are available to anyone to take for free (and no need to return) ! I have a variety of genres as well as kid books. Bring a book to swap out if you would like but don’t feel like you have to! This is just a fun way to share books with others!

What is your favorite book or genre!? Drop some recommendations below 👇🏻 hopefully we will see one or two of these even go through the farmstand! ❤️

Last week I shared that we celebrated 5 years of being open as Vermont Roots. I’m going to try to be better about sharing and posting our day to day farm life. So here is a flashback post of some of the pictures over the years of the Farmstand. As you can kind of see in some of the earlier pictures we used to offer a few other items than eggs and meat. I am hoping to get back to selling other products. What would you like to see in the Farmstand as a customer of ours? Drop a comment ⬇️

5 years of Vermont Roots! And all I can say is Wow! What a journey it has been. I’m terrible with words and it is hard to explain what this side business means to me. What started as a dream became possible by my wonderful (now) husband building this little farmstand for me. In this world it is so hard not to constantly compare ourselves to others we see on Facebook or social media. I see other Farmstands on social media and think wow I could have so many more products or I could do so much better decorating. But the truth is Vermont Roots Farmstand is perfectly imperfect for me and my Family! And today I am recognizing that versus thinking of all the things I should be doing better! Vermont Roots has brought me so many wonderful connections to our community in both Addison County and the Northeast Kingdom as the business moved across the state with me. It has changed and adapted through the seasons both literally (winters in the NEK & frozen eggs!) and metaphorically (my children now helping me stock the farmstand with boxes of meat stacked on the stroller). It has brought so much to my life and it is such an important part to our farm. So a HUGE thank you to all of our customers near and far for all of your support these last five years! I wouldn’t still be in business if it wasn’t for you! 👩🏼‍🌾🥚🍔🥓
